Method

Prepare Noodles

  1. 1

    Cook the Lo Mein Noodles

In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the Lo Mein noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare Shrimp

  1. 2

    Sauté the Shrimp

In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and sauté for 2-3 minutes or until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

Cook Vegetables

  1. 3

    Stir-fry the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the sliced bell pepper, julienned carrot, snap peas, and green onions. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

Prepare Sauce

  1. 4

    Mix the Sauce

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, water, cornstarch, minced garlic, and minced ginger until smooth.

Combine and Serve

  1. 5

    Combine Ingredients

Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet with the vegetables. Pour the sauce over the shrimp and vegetables, and toss to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and everything is heated through.

  2. 6

    Serve Hot

Serve the shrimp lo mein in bowls, garnished with sesame seeds and fresh cilantro.
