Marinating the Shrimp

Prepare the Shrimp
In a mixing bowl, combine the shrimp with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Toss well to coat the shrimp evenly. Cover and let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Making the Sauce

Combine Sauce Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the chicken broth, soy sauce, rice vinegar, Hunan chili paste, and sugar until well combined. Set aside.

Heat the Oil
In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

Add the minced garlic and ginger to the hot oil. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
