Barbecue Sauce
Method
Preparation of Pork
- 1
Marinate the Pork
In a bowl, mix together ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to create the barbecue sauce. Reserve half of the sauce for later. Place the pork tenderloin in a resealable bag and pour the remaining sauce over it. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.
- 2
Cook the Pork
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Remove the pork from the marinade and place it in a baking dish. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Baste with the reserved barbecue sauce halfway through cooking. Once done, let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
Cooking the Pea Pods
- 3
Prepare the Pea Pods
While the pork is baking, rinse the pea pods under cold water. Trim the ends and remove any strings if necessary.
- 4
Sauté the Pea Pods
In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the prepared pea pods and sauté them for about 3-5 minutes, until they are bright green and tender-crisp. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serving
- 5
Plate and Serve
Slice the rested pork tenderloin and arrange it on a serving platter. Serve the sautéed pea pods on the side. Drizzle any remaining barbecue sauce over the pork for added flavor. Enjoy your Bar-B-Q Pork with Pea Pods!
