Cut the fresh mozzarella into 1-inch thick slices. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
2. Set up Breading Station
In three separate shallow bowls, place the flour in the first bowl, the beaten eggs in the second bowl, and the breadcrumbs mixed with salt and pepper in the third bowl.
3. Bread the Mozzarella
Coat each slice of mozzarella first in flour, then dip in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs. Press the breadcrumbs onto the cheese to ensure they adhere.
4. Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until it shimmers.
5. Fry the Mozzarella
Carefully add the breaded mozzarella slices to the hot oil. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
6. Drain and Serve
Remove the fried mozzarella from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve hot with marinara sauce on the side.
