Frittura Mista Ingredients

Method

Preparation Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Rice Balls

In a saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add Arborio rice and salt, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes until rice is tender. Let it cool, then mix with Parmesan cheese and 1 egg. Form into balls and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Potato Croquettes

Boil the cubed potatoes until tender. Drain and mash. Mix in 1 egg, salt, black pepper, and breadcrumbs until a dough forms. Shape into small cylinders and set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Mozzarella Sticks

Take the mozzarella sticks and roll them in breadcrumbs. Set aside.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan, heat the oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Frittura Mista

Carefully place the rice balls, potato croquettes, and mozzarella sticks into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes for each item. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  6. 6

    Serve

Arrange the fried items on a platter and serve hot with a dipping sauce of your choice.
