Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the bufala mozzarella (diced), sweet salami (chopped), ham (chopped), and ricotta cheese. Add olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.

  2. 2

    Make the Dough

If you're using store-bought pizza dough, roll it out on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness. If making from scratch, combine flour, water, yeast, and salt to form a dough, then let it rise for about an hour.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Calzone

Cut the rolled dough into circles (about 6 inches in diameter). Place a generous amount of filling on one half of each circle, leaving some space at the edges. Fold the other half over and seal the edges by crimping with a fork.

  4. 4

    Bake the Calzone

Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F). Place the calzones on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Optionally, brush the tops with olive oil for a golden finish. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove the calzones from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm!
