Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add rigatoni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Meat Sauce
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until translucent. Add Italian sausage, breaking it apart with a spoon, and cook until browned. Stir in the meatballs, soppressata, and tomato sauce. Simmer for 10 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper.

Mix the Cheese Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, half of the Parmesan cheese, and fresh basil. Mix well and season with salt and pepper.

Assemble the Baked Rigatoni
In a large baking dish, combine the cooked rigatoni with the meat sauce, mixing well. Dollop the ricotta mixture evenly over the top. Sprinkle with remaining Parmesan and mozzarella cheese.

Bake
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the rigatoni for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, then garnish with additional fresh basil if desired. Serve hot.
