Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Slice the Beef

Thinly slice the beef sirloin against the grain into strips.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Marinade

In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Add the sliced beef to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Vegetables

Chop the bell pepper into strips and slice the green onions. Prepare the broccoli florets by cutting them into bite-sized pieces.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Stir-Fry the Beef

In a large skillet or wok, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

  2. 5

    Add Vegetables

Add the chopped bell pepper and broccoli florets to the skillet. Stir-fry for an additional 3-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

  3. 6

    Thicken the Sauce

In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with a few tablespoons of water to create a slurry. Pour this into the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens.

  4. 7

    Add Mandarin Oranges

Gently fold in the drained mandarin oranges and let them heat through for 2 minutes.

  5. 8

    Season

Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Garnish with sliced green onions.
