    Prepare the Vegetables

Chop the carrots, celery, onion, and garlic into small pieces.

  2. 2

    Cook the Soup

In a large pot, combine the chicken broth, chopped vegetables, salt, black pepper, thyme, and bay leaf. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.

  3. 3

    Finish the Soup

Remove the bay leaf and adjust seasoning if needed. Keep warm until serving.

Egg Roll

  1. 4

    Prepare the Filling

In a bowl, mix together the chopped cabbage, carrots, green onions, soy sauce, and sesame oil.

  2. 5

    Roll the Egg Rolls

Place about 2 tablespoons of filling in the center of each egg roll wrapper. Fold the sides over and roll tightly. Seal the edges with water.

    Fry the Egg Rolls

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan. Fry the egg rolls until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

Fried Rice

    Scramble the Eggs

In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Scramble the eggs until fully cooked, then remove and set aside.

    Prepare the Chicken

Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and toss with cornstarch until well coated.

In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken in batches until golden and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  3. 12

    Make the Sauce

In the same skillet, add garlic, ginger, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and chili paste. Stir and cook for 2-3 minutes.

  4. 13

Add the fried chicken back into the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
