Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Mince the Garlic

Peel and finely mince the garlic cloves. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Chop the Green Onions

Chop the green onions, separating the white parts from the green parts. Set aside.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Heat the Olive Oil

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.

  2. 5

    Cook the Chicken

Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

  3. 6

    Make the Garlic Sauce

In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and the white parts of the green onions. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.

  4. 7

Add the Broth and Sauce Ingredients

Pour in the chicken broth, soy sauce, and honey. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.

  5. 8

    Thicken the Sauce

In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water. Slowly add this mixture to the skillet, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.

  6. 9

    Combine Chicken and Sauce

Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, coating it with the garlic sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.

  7. 10

    Garnish and Serve

Garnish with the green parts of the chopped green onions before serving.
