Prepare the Ingredients
Rinse the broccoli under cold water and cut it into small florets. Peel and devein the shrimp if necessary.

Make the Brown Sauce
In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, and water. Mix until the sugar and cornstarch are fully dissolved. Set aside.

Mince Garlic and Ginger
Finely mince the garlic cloves and ginger. Set aside for cooking.

Sauté the Broccoli
In a large skillet or wok, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until they turn bright green and are tender-crisp.

Cook the Shrimp
Add the shrimp to the skillet with the broccoli and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

Add the Brown Sauce
Pour the prepared brown sauce over the shrimp and broccoli. Stir well to coat everything evenly. Let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Finish with Sesame Oil
Drizzle sesame oil over the dish, stir well, and remove from heat.
