Prepare the Tomatoes
Preheat your wood-fired oven to around 500°F (260°C). Wash the Roma tomatoes thoroughly, then slice them in half lengthwise.

Blend the Ingredients
In a blender or food processor, combine the halved tomatoes, chipotle peppers, garlic cloves, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth.

Cook the Mixture
Pour the blended mixture into a cast-iron skillet and place it in the wood-fired oven. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and the flavors meld.

Remove the skillet from the oven. Stir in the fresh lime juice and chopped cilantro. Adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed.

Serve the wood-fired tomato chipotle warm, garnished with lime wedges and extra cilantro on top. Enjoy with tortilla chips, tacos, or as a sauce for grilled meats.
