Method
Prepare Tater Tots
- 1
Bake Tater Tots
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the frozen tater tots in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy, flipping them halfway through cooking.
Make Cheese Sauce
- 2
Prepare Cheese Sauce
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, and milk. Stir continuously until the cheeses melt and the mixture is smooth. Add chili powder, garlic powder, and salt, mixing well. Remove from heat and set aside.
Cook Ground Beef
- 3
Cook Beef
In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat. Add taco seasoning and a splash of water (about 2 tablespoons), stir to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
Assemble Tot’chos
- 4
Layer Tot’chos
Once the tater tots are cooked, remove them from the oven. On a large serving platter or baking dish, layer the crispy tater tots. Spoon the ground beef evenly over the tots, followed by the cheese sauce. Top with pico de gallo, pickled jalapeños, and drizzle with chipotle crema.
