Tortilla Chips

Cheese and Queso

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Seafood

In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add the shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes. Drain and set aside to cool. Once cool, chop the shrimp into bite-sized pieces. In a bowl, combine the chopped shrimp with the cooked crab meat.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Queso

In a small saucepan over medium heat, warm the queso cheese until melted and smooth. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.

Assembly

  1. 3

    Layer the Nachos

On a large baking sheet, spread out the tortilla chips in an even layer. Top the chips with the shrimp and crab mixture, then drizzle with melted queso cheese. Sprinkle shredded jack cheese over the top.

  2. 4

    Bake

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the nachos in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Final Touches

  1. 5

    Add Toppings

Remove the nachos from the oven. Top with pico de gallo, guacamole, Iowa corn salsa, shredded lettuce, and drizzle with chipotle crema to taste.

  2. 6

    Serve

Serve the seafood nachos immediately while they are hot and enjoy!
