Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Char the Vegetables

Preheat your grill or a grill pan over high heat. Place the jalapeños and the onion on the grill. Cook until charred, turning occasionally, about 10-15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Chop the Ingredients

Once the jalapeños and onion are charred, remove them from the grill. Let them cool slightly, then chop them into small pieces.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Tomatoes

While the jalapeños and onion are cooling, chop the Roma tomatoes into small cubes.

  4. 4

    Mince the Garlic

Peel and mince the garlic cloves finely.

  5. 5

    Chop the Cilantro

Rinse the cilantro under cold water, shake off excess water, and chop it roughly.

Mixing

  1. 6

    Combine the Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped charred jalapeños, onion, diced tomatoes, minced garlic, and chopped cilantro.

  2. 7

    Season the Salsa

Add salt, black pepper, and the juice of the lime to the bowl. Mix everything well until combined.

Serving

  1. 8

    Serve

Transfer the salsa to a serving bowl and enjoy with tortilla chips, tacos, or your favorite dish!
