Prepare the Chiles
Wash the jalapeño and serrano peppers under cold water. Pat them dry with a paper towel.

Make the Marinade
In a mixing bowl, combine the apple cider vinegar, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, cumin powder, and sugar. Whisk until well blended.
Grilling

Preheat the Grill
Preheat your wood-fired grill to a high heat, around 400°F (200°C).

Marinate the Chiles
Place the washed chiles into a resealable plastic bag or container. Pour the marinade over the chiles, ensuring they are evenly coated. Seal the bag and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Remove the charred chiles from the grill and let them cool slightly. Serve them warm as a side dish or topping for tacos, nachos, or salads.
