Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- 2
Dredge the Chicken
Set up a dredging station with three shallow plates: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with half of the grated Parmesan cheese. First, coat each chicken breast in flour, then dip in the egg, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- 3
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the breaded chicken breasts and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until they are golden brown. You may need to do this in batches.
- 4
Assemble the Dish
In a baking dish, spread 1 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom. Place the fried chicken breasts on top of the sauce. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the chicken, then sprinkle the mozzarella cheese and the rest of the Parmesan cheese on top.
- 5
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- 6
Garnish and Serve
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. If desired, sprinkle with fresh basil before serving. Enjoy your Chicken Parmesan!
