Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fish

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). In a shallow bowl, mix together flour, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. In another bowl, whisk together the egg and milk. In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.

  2. 2

    Coat the Fish

Dip each fish fillet first into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and finally coat with breadcrumbs, pressing down gently to adhere.

  3. 3

    Bake the Fish

Place the coated fish fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle with a little oil to help them crisp up. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Fishwich

Once the fish is baked, assemble your fishwich by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, adding a piece of baked fish, a slice of tomato, and a generous dollop of tartar sauce. Top with the other half of the bun.
