Method
Preparing the Salad
Prepare the Salad Base
Wash and chop the Romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Place it in a large mixing bowl.
Add Toppings
Chop the Emmental cheese and hard-boiled eggs, and add them to the lettuce. Pit and slice the Niçoise olives, then add them as well.
Making Croûtons
Prepare Croûtons
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Cut the croissants into bite-sized pieces and place them in a bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with garlic powder and salt, and toss to coat evenly.
Bake Croûtons
Spread the croissant pieces on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
Making Dressing and Assembling Salad
Prepare Dressing
In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, and black pepper.
Assemble Salad
Pour the dressing over the salad base and toss gently to coat. Top with the homemade croûtons before serving.
