Method

Dough Preparation

1

Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm milk (not hot) and sugar. Sprinkle yeast on top and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

2

Mix Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a dough forms.

3

Knead Dough

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

4

First Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Honey Butter Preparation

5

Mix Honey Butter

In a bowl, combine softened butter and honey. Mix until well combined and creamy. Set aside.

Pickles Preparation

6

Prepare Brine

In a saucepan, combine vinegar, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil and stir until sugar is dissolved.

7

Pickle Cucumbers

In a jar, layer cucumbers, dill, and garlic cloves. Pour the hot brine over the cucumbers and let it cool. Refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving.

Baking

8

Shape and Second Rise

After the first rise, punch down the dough and shape it into small oval rolls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Let them rise again for about 30 minutes.

9

Bake

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
