Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Cucumber
Wash the cucumber thoroughly. Grate the cucumber using a box grater or food processor. Place the grated cucumber in a clean kitchen towel or cheesecloth and squeeze out excess moisture. This will prevent the tzatziki from becoming watery.
- 2
Mince the Garlic
Peel the garlic cloves and use a garlic press or finely mince them with a knife. Set aside.
- 3
Chop the Herbs
Finely chop the fresh dill and parsley. Measure out the required quantities and set aside.
Mixing
- 4
Combine Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, add the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, chopped dill, and chopped parsley. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- 5
Chilling
- 6
Refrigerate
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate the tzatziki for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
