Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Candied Bacon

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the bacon slices on the sheet and brush them generously with maple syrup. Bake for 15-20 minutes until crispy and caramelized. Remove and let cool.

  2. 2

    Cook the Burger Patties

Form the ground beef into two equal patties. Season both sides with salt and pepper. Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your preferred doneness.

  3. 3

    Fry the Eggs

In a separate skillet, add a little oil or butter over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook sunny-side-up for about 2-3 minutes until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each Hawaiian bun, layer the burger patty, followed by the candied bacon, a slice of cheese, and the sunny-side-up egg. Drizzle a bit more maple syrup on top, then place the top half of the bun over the egg.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve the Hangover Burger with your choice of fries, chips, or a side salad.
