Preparation
- 1
Sauté the Vegetables
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers, seasoning with salt and black pepper to taste. Sauté until the vegetables are soft and slightly caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
- 2
Cook the Prime Rib
Add the thinly shaved prime rib to the skillet with the vegetables. Cook until the meat is heated through, about 3-5 minutes. Stir frequently to combine the flavors.
- 3
Assemble the Sandwich
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the baguette in half lengthwise and place it on a baking sheet. Fill the baguette with the prime rib and vegetable mixture, then layer the provolone cheese on top.
- 4
Melt the Cheese
Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for about 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 5
Serve
Remove the sandwich from the oven, slice, and serve hot with fries, chips, or a side salad.
