Crab Cake Ingredients

Method

Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, green onions, breadcrumbs, and eggs. Mix gently to combine, being careful not to break up the crab meat too much.

  2. 2

    Season the Mixture

Season the mixture with salt and black pepper to taste. Mix again gently to ensure all ingredients are well incorporated.

  3. 3

    Form the Crab Cakes

Using your hands, form the crab mixture into patties, about 3 inches in diameter. Place the formed patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  4. 4

    Chill the Patties

Cover the baking sheet with plastic wrap and chill the crab cakes in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to help them hold their shape.

  5. 5

    Cook the Crab Cakes

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the crab cakes in batches, cooking for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove the crab cakes from the skillet and drain on paper towels. Serve warm with your choice of dipping sauce.
