Crab Balls
Method
Preparation
- 1
Mix Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, breadcrumbs, cream cheese, green onions, garlic, Old Bay seasoning, beaten egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- 2
Form the Balls
Using your hands, form the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 3
Chill the Crab Balls
Refrigerate the crab balls for at least 30 minutes to help them hold their shape during frying.
- 4
Heat Oil
In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat until hot.
- 5
Fry the Crab Balls
Carefully add the crab balls to the hot oil in batches, frying until they are golden brown on all sides, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 6
Serve
Serve the crab balls warm, with a dipping sauce of your choice, such as cocktail sauce or a spicy aioli.
