Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add 2 tablespoons of butter. Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until cooked through. Remove from the skillet and let it rest before slicing.
- 2
Cook the Fettuccini
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccini pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a little pasta water.
- 3
Make the Alfredo Sauce
In the same skillet used for the chicken, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute). Pour in the heavy cream, stirring constantly. Allow it to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- 4
Combine Ingredients
Gradually stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of reserved pasta water to achieve desired consistency. Add the cooked fettuccini to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
- 5
Serve
Slice the cooked chicken and place it on top of the fettuccini. Garnish with parsley and additional Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve immediately.
