Ribs and BBQ Sauce

Method

Cooking and Serving

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs, then rub the brown sugar, paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper all over the ribs.

  2. 2

    Smoke the Ribs

Place the ribs in the smoker bone-side down. Smoke for 4 hours, maintaining a consistent temperature. If using wood chips, consider using hickory or applewood for added flavor.

  3. 3

    Make the BBQ Sauce

In a saucepan, combine the apple cider vinegar, ketchup, honey, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce. Simmer over medium heat for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.

  4. 4

    Glaze the Ribs

During the last 30 minutes of smoking, brush the BBQ sauce over the ribs, reserving some for serving.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove the ribs from the smoker and let them rest for 10 minutes. Cut into portions and serve with the remaining BBQ sauce and your choice of two sides.
