1. Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the slab bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
2. Sear the Tuna
Pat the yellowfin tuna steaks dry and season with salt and black pepper. In the same skillet, add olive oil over high heat. Sear the tuna for about 1-2 minutes on each side for medium-rare, depending on the thickness. Remove from heat and let rest.
3. Prepare the Vegetables
Slice the avocado and tomato. Set aside.
4. Assemble the BLT
On the bottom half of each burger bun, layer the lettuce, sliced avocado, seared tuna, crispy bacon, and sliced tomato. Drizzle with wasabi ranch (or your desired sauce) and top with the other half of the bun.
5. Serve
Serve immediately while the tuna is still warm.
