Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the Tuna

Season the tuna filets with salt and black pepper on both sides.

2

Make the Cilantro-Lime Aioli

In a blender, combine mayonnaise, fresh cilantro, lime juice, garlic, and salt. Blend until smooth and well combined.

3

Prepare the Pepper Salad

Dice the red, yellow, and green bell peppers and red onion. In a bowl, mix them with olive oil, lime juice, salt, and black pepper.

4

Crush the Wasabi Peas

Lightly crush the wasabi peas into a crumble using a rolling pin or food processor.

Cooking

5

Sear the Tuna

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the tuna filets for 1-2 minutes on each side until browned on the outside but rare in the center.

Serving

6

Plate the Dish

On a plate, place a portion of the pepper salad, top with the seared tuna, drizzle with cilantro-lime aioli, and sprinkle with wasabi pea crumble.
