Churro Ingredients

Method

Churro Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dough

In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Stir in flour until mixture forms a ball. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

  2. 2

    Add Eggs

Beat in eggs one at a time until smooth and well combined.

  3. 3

    Heat Oil

In a deep frying pan, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  4. 4

    Fry Churros

Transfer the dough to a pastry bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe 4-6 inch strips of dough into the hot oil, cutting them with scissors. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  5. 5

    Coat with Sugar and Cinnamon

In a bowl, mix granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. While churros are still warm, roll them in the sugar-cinnamon mixture until fully coated.
