Cocktail Preparation
1. Prepare the Glass
Begin by rimming a chilled margarita glass with salt. To do this, run a lime wedge around the rim and then dip it into a plate of salt.
2. Mix the Margarita
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the tequila, lime juice, triple sec, and simple syrup. Shake well until chilled.
3. Strain and Pour
Strain the mixed margarita into the prepared glass filled with fresh ice.
4. Add the Wine
Slowly pour the red wine over the back of a spoon to create a layered effect on top of the margarita.
5. Float the Rum
Gently float the 151 proof rum on top by pouring it over the back of a spoon.
