Prepare Tea Base

Steep the Tea
Boil 4 cups of water in a saucepan. Once boiling, remove from heat and add 4 black tea bags. Let steep for 5 minutes.

Remove Tea Bags
After steeping, remove the tea bags and let the tea cool to room temperature.
Make Lilikoi Syrup

Combine Ingredients
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of passion fruit puree, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 cup of water.

Heat Mixture
Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and cool.
Assemble the Drink

Combine Tea and Syrup
In a large pitcher, combine the cooled tea and the lilikoi syrup. Stir well to mix.

Serve with Ice
Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the Hawaiian iced tea over the ice. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and lemon slices.
