Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Edamame

Rinse the edamame pods under cold water to remove any dirt. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Mince the Garlic

Peel the garlic cloves and mince them finely using a knife or a garlic press.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Steam the Edamame

In a medium-sized pot, bring 1 cup of water to a boil. Place a steamer basket in the pot and add the edamame pods. Cover the pot and steam for about 5-7 minutes until the edamame is tender and bright green.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Garlic

While the edamame is steaming, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant and lightly golden. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

  3. 5

    Combine and Season

Once the edamame is done steaming, carefully remove it from the pot and transfer it to a large bowl. Pour the sautéed garlic and oil over the edamame. Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of sea salt and toss gently to combine.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve Warm

Serve the garlic edamame warm as a snack or appetizer. Enjoy!
