Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Tater Tots

Preheat the oven according to the package instructions for the frozen tater tots. Spread the tater tots on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until crispy and golden brown.

  2. 2

    Cook the Sausage Gravy

In a large skillet, over medium heat, cook the country sausage until browned. Add the flour and stir for 1-2 minutes until it forms a roux. Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring continuously until the gravy thickens. Season with salt and black pepper. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Fry the Bacon

In a separate skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain.

  4. 4

    Fry the Eggs

In the same skillet used for bacon, add oil if needed and fry the eggs to your liking (sunny side up or over easy). Season with salt and pepper.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Country Tots

On a serving plate, place a generous portion of crispy tater tots. Top with the sausage gravy, crispy bacon, and sprinkle with chopped scallions. Finally, place a fried egg on top of the stack.
