Filling and Crust
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the crust
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden. Remove from oven and let cool.
- 2
Layer the bananas
Once the crust has cooled, layer the sliced bananas evenly over the bottom of the pie crust.
- 3
Add dulce de leche
Spread the dulce de leche over the bananas, ensuring all slices are covered.
- 4
Top with whipped cream
Spread the whipped cream over the dulce de leche layer. You can use a spatula or pipe it for a decorative touch.
- 5
Finish and chill
Sprinkle the chopped nuts on top for added texture. If desired, add chocolate shavings for garnish. Refrigerate the pie for at least 2 hours before serving to allow it to set.
