Method
Cooking Pasta
- 1
Boil Water
In a large pot, bring 4 quarts of water to a boil. Once boiling, add the tablespoon of salt.
- 2
Cook Pasta
Add the linguine pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.
- 3
Drain Pasta
Once cooked, drain the pasta and set aside, reserving a cup of the pasta water.
Preparing Lobster
- 4
Cook Lobster
In a large pot, bring water to a boil and place the lobster in. Boil for about 8-10 minutes until it turns bright red.
- 5
Remove Lobster Meat
Carefully remove the lobster from the pot and let it cool. Once cool, crack the shell and remove the lobster meat, then chop it into bite-sized pieces.
Making Creamy Sauce
- 6
Sauté Garlic
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- 7
Add Cream
Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer while stirring occasionally.
- 8
Incorporate Cheese
Gradually stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and combined. Season with black pepper to taste.
- 9
Combine Ingredients
Add the cooked pasta and lobster meat to the sauce. Toss gently to coat everything in the creamy sauce. If needed, add reserved pasta water to adjust the consistency.
- 10
Garnish
Finish by stirring in fresh basil for added flavor.
