Method
Pasta Preparation
- 1
Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water (1 tsp salt) to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, typically 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Chicken Preparation
- 2
Grill the Chicken
Season the chicken breasts with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and juices run clear. Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Alfredo Sauce Preparation
- 3
Make the Alfredo Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Combine and Serve
- 4
Combine Everything
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked fettuccine pasta with the Alfredo sauce, tossing until well coated. Slice the grilled chicken and lay it on top of the pasta. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
