Preparation

1

Prepare the Steak

Take the 20oz strip steak and let it come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. This helps it cook evenly.

2

Season the Steak

Rub the steak with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika on both sides.

Cooking

3

Grill the Steak

Preheat a grill or grill pan on high heat. Once hot, place the steak on the grill and cook for about 7-8 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is achieved.

4

Cook the Pearl Onions

While the steak is cooking, bring a small pot of water to boil. Add the pearl onions and boil for about 3-4 minutes. Drain and set aside.

5

Sauté the Pearl Onions

In a skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of olive oil and the boiled pearl onions. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until slightly caramelized and golden.

6

Prepare the Onion Rings

If using pre-made onion rings, cook them according to package instructions until crispy. If making from scratch, batter and fry them until golden brown.

Serving

7

Plate the Dish

Once the steak is cooked to your liking, remove it from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes. Slice the steak and serve it alongside the sautéed pearl onions and crispy onion rings.

Enjoy!

Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious Bife A La Brasa!
