Soak the Navy Beans
In a bowl, soak the navy beans in water for at least 6 hours or overnight to soften.

Cook the Navy Beans
After soaking, drain the beans and place them in a pot with fresh water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 45 minutes or until tender. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Red Onion
Peel and finely chop the red onion. Set aside.

Open the can of albacore tuna, drain the liquid, and break the tuna into large chunks.

In a large bowl, combine the cooked navy beans, tuna, chopped red onion, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Toss gently to combine all ingredients.

Grill the bread slices until golden brown and crispy on both sides.

Spoon the navy bean and tuna mixture onto the grilled bread and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
