Cake Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch round cake pan with butter, then line the bottom with parchment paper.

Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a medium heatproof bowl, combine the dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Place the bowl over a pot of simmering water (double boiler method) and stir until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- 3
Mix Sugar and Eggs
In a separate bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar and eggs until well combined and slightly frothy.
- 4
- 5
Bake the Cake
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cake is set but still moist in the center.
- 6
Cool the Cake
Remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, carefully invert it onto a plate and remove the parchment paper. Let it cool completely.
