Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation of Edamame

  1. 1

    Boil the Edamame

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add 2 cups of edamame beans and 1 tsp of salt. Cook for 4-5 minutes until the beans are tender but still firm.

  2. 2

    Drain and Cool

Once cooked, drain the edamame in a colander and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside to cool.

Preparing the Togarashi Dressing

  1. 3

    Mix the Seasoning

In a small bowl, combine 2 tbs of togarashi spice blend, 1 tbs of sesame oil, 1 tsp of lemon zest, 1 tbs of lemon juice, and 1 minced garlic clove. Stir well until all ingredients are evenly mixed.

Combining Edamame and Seasoning

  1. 4

    Toss the Edamame

In a large mixing bowl, add the cooled edamame beans and pour the togarashi dressing over them. Toss gently to coat the beans evenly with the seasoning.

Serving

  1. 5

    Plate and Serve

Transfer the seasoned edamame to a serving dish. Optionally, sprinkle additional togarashi on top for extra flavor. Serve warm or at room temperature.
