1. Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan or a similar cake pan.

2. Mix Dry Ingredients

In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

3. Cream Butter and Sugar

In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, cream the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar together until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.

4. Add Eggs and Vanilla

Add the large eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, mix in the vanilla extract until fully combined.

5. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the dry ingredients, mixing just until combined. Do not overmix.

6. Pour into Pan

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.

7. Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

8. Cool and Serve

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve.
