Rinse the Rice
Place the jasmine rice in a fine-mesh strainer and rinse under cold running water until the water runs clear.

Bring to a Boil
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.

Simmer
Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan with a lid, and let it simmer for about 15 minutes.

Check for Doneness
After 15 minutes, check the rice. If all the water has been absorbed and the rice is tender, it’s done. If not, cover it and let it cook for an additional few minutes.

Once cooked, remove the rice from heat, let it sit covered for 5 minutes, then fluff with a fork and serve.
