1. Marinate the Shrimp
In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Add the shrimp and toss to coat. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
2. Preheat the Grill or Oven
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or the oven to 400°F (200°C). If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes before grilling.
3. Assemble the Skewers
Thread the marinated shrimp onto the skewers, approximately 4-5 shrimp per skewer.
4. Cook the Shrimp
If grilling, place the skewers on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are opaque and cooked through. If broiling, place the skewers on a baking sheet and broil for about 6-8 minutes, turning once.
5. Serve
Remove from heat, let cool slightly, and serve immediately with your choice of dipping sauce or sides.
