Fried Fish and Sides
Method
Cooking Instructions
Prepare the Fish
In a large bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, cornmeal, Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Dip each fish fillet into the buttermilk, then dredge in the flour mixture, ensuring an even coat.
Heat the Oil
In a large frying pan or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
Fry the Fish
Carefully place the coated fish fillets into the hot oil, frying in batches if necessary. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Cook the Sides
While the fish is frying, prepare the frozen French fries and onion rings according to the package instructions, either in the oven or fryer.
Serve
Serve the fried fish hot alongside the crispy French fries and onion rings. Enjoy!
