Crab Cake Ingredients

Method

Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, egg, bread crumbs, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until all ingredients are well combined, being careful not to break up the crab meat too much.

  2. 2

    Form the Cakes

Shape the mixture into patties, about 2 inches in diameter and 1 inch thick. You should be able to form approximately 8 cakes. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  3. 3

    Chill

Cover the crab cakes with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them hold their shape during cooking.

  4. 4

    Cook the Crab Cakes

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the crab cakes to the skillet (in batches if necessary) and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and cooked through.

  5. 5

    Prepare Lemon Butter

In a small saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over low heat. Add the juice of one lemon and stir to combine. Keep warm until ready to serve.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the crab cakes hot, drizzled with lemon butter. Enjoy!
