Method
Steak
- 1
Prepare the Steak
Remove the ribeye steaks from the refrigerator and allow them to come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. This ensures even cooking.
- 2
- 3
Fries
- 4
Prepare the Potatoes
Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thick strips. Rinse under cold water to remove excess starch.
- 5
Soak the Fries
Soak the cut fries in cold water for at least 30 minutes to help achieve a crispy texture.
- 6
Heat the Oil
In a deep fryer or large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).
- 7
Fry the Potatoes
Drain the soaked fries and pat them dry with paper towels. Carefully add the fries to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 5-6 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels. Season with salt to taste.
Salad
- 8
Prepare the Salad
In a large bowl, combine the mixed greens, halved cherry tomatoes, and sliced cucumber.
- 9
Dress the Salad
In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine.
