Tortilla Chips

Prepare the Tortillas
Cut the corn tortillas into triangles.

Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Chips
Carefully add the tortilla triangles to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 2-3 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.

Drain and Season
Using a slotted spoon, remove the chips from the oil and drain on paper towels. While they are still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.

Mix the Salsa
In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped tomatoes, onion, cilantro, and jalapeño.

Season the Salsa
Squeeze the juice from the lime into the mixture and add salt. Stir well to combine all ingredients.

Allow the salsa to sit for at least 10 minutes to let the flavors meld together before serving.
