Tequila Shrimp Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp

In a large bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Sauté Peppers and Garlic

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic, jalapeño, and serrano peppers. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until fragrant.

  3. 3

    Cook the Shrimp

Increase the heat to medium-high and add the shrimp to the skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until they are pink and opaque.

  4. 4

    Add Tequila and Lime

Pour the tequila into the skillet and let it cook for about 1 minute to reduce slightly. Add the lime juice and remaining 2 tablespoons of butter, stirring until the butter is melted and the sauce is well combined.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove from heat and serve the tequila shrimp over rice and black beans, garnished with lime wedges if desired.
