Cabbage Rolls

Method

Cabbage Rolls

1

Prepare the Cabbage

Bring a large pot of water to boil. Carefully remove the core from the cabbage and blanch the leaves for 2-3 minutes until softened. Remove and cool.

2

Make the Filling

In a large bowl, combine ground beef or turkey, cooked rice, onion, garlic, egg, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix thoroughly.

3

Stuff the Cabbage

Take a cabbage leaf, place a spoonful of the filling at the base of the leaf, and roll tightly, tucking in the sides. Repeat with remaining leaves and filling.

4

Cook the Rolls

Place the stuffed cabbage rolls seam-side down in a baking dish. Pour tomato sauce over the rolls and cover with foil. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 45 minutes.

Sweet Potato Gratin

5

Prepare Sweet Potatoes

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Layer the sliced sweet potatoes in a greased baking dish.

6

Make the Cream Mixture

In a bowl, combine heavy cream, grated cheese, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg. Pour over the sweet potatoes.

7

Bake

Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Salad

8

Prepare the Salad

In a large bowl, mix together mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, and cucumber.

9

Dress the Salad

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper. Drizzle over the salad and toss gently.
